It's very easy to stay "in the mind", plodding along day to day constantly thinking thoughts of days gone by and planning what's going to happen next. We often forget that life is happening right now before our very eyes and continue on in a trance like state, trapped in our thoughts instead of really opening our eyes to see the beauty life has on offer.
As Eckhart Tolle mentions in the book the "Power of Now" there's a time for planning but life is Now. I have a lovely little heart sign that's says: "The happiest moment of the happiest life is now"
I have it on the kitchen side at home, every time I see it, it grounds me to the moment and reminds me to live in the now. I love it! Being a busy mum and business woman I'm constantly planning, but I've found that giving my mind a chance to rest in this way has enabled me to think more clearly when it comes to organising and planning.
Peace and love to you and yours.

If it doesn't challenge you, it won't change you.
Challenges are good they help us grow and develop personally, people ask for their lives to change or complain about how miserable they are with their current circumstances then face challenges and change with the same energy.
What I have learnt is that through every challenge I have faced; good (or the ones that hurt) I have always grown personally and that it changed me, which enabled me to deal with things that little bit better in the long run. I've always loved reading quotes, especially those from people I admire. Not only do I find it interesting to see how they might think about life, but I also love how a quote can totally change the way you think or see your own life, if you let it!!! Here's a quote I read recently, I'm not sure why but it would give me strength when I read it. I often screen grab quotes that have a effect on me, so I can look back at them whenever I want uplifting. Peace and love to you and yours.
It seems a lot of people suffer day to day with self doubt, depression, anger, fear (or experience intense stages of this). Like most I have had some rocky roads myself and I am glad to say those days are behind me, but I'm still aware of these times and believe we are the ones who can take control of the situation and do something about it.
Life is for living after all and before we know it time will have run out (rather dreary subject death, but sometimes it's the only way to get through to people). Wake up and realise, this really doesn't last forever and the only person who is genuinely going to make you feel better about you is YOU! "Go about doing good, until there's too much good in the world" Watching a reality TV programme one day, I heard a chap say this quote to his daughter. I thought it was beautiful, I wrote it on a scrap of paper and it has been stuck on my notice board ever since. Find a place to pin quotes that you love, maybe on a notice board like me, or use an app like Pintrest or share them on Instagram, where you can look back for inspiration. After a small amount of research (OK a Google Search), I believe its an inspirational quote by Larry H. Miller about the value of Making A Difference Peace and love to you and yours.
That’s it, enough is enough! I have pondered over my blog long enough and decided today was going to be the day to deliver my first blog post. I’m really jumping in feet first here; I haven’t prepared mainly because I could put off writing it again for another 6 months or so.
I’m going to begin from the beginning, a great place to start with any story I do believe. The idea for my blog began when I started noticing that when I offered a piece of advice to someone, they would often say how much it helped them and that they had never heard of that particular person or way of thinking. I would then offer up more advice, please keep in mind this is mainly from what I have watched or read I don’t claim to have all the answers, I’m just really excited about the prospect of learning about life and ways to deal with it. |
