"Your mind is a powerful thing, when you fill it with positive thoughts, your life will start to change".I think it's fair to say we all want a happy life, some want success, some want lots of money, others just want to get through the day to day, whatever you want your life to be like; I'm sure you want to be happy.
So if you want it so much then why aren't you? I'm not trying to patronise you, believe me I've been there; I've had my dark days, hasn't everyone? It's easy to get swept up into the everyday stuff and before you know it life's flying past you and you're letting negative emotions rule you. Maybe not all the time, but you might have one of the days where you find things difficult, upsetting, frustrating etc. Now a little while ago I stumble across some information about how you shouldn't let a compliment go to your head and how if you let a good comment effect you emotionally i.e. Make you feel happy, then you would be susceptible to negative feedback, or worst no feedback. In that you expected certain feedback and you didn't get it. I remember thinking "well I guess, I mean everyone does like praise for doing something good", but I had never thought about the opposite. I hadn't really thought about how the outside world had such an impact internally, or that I could choose not to let it effect me. It got me thinking about my reaction to situations and how just maybe it would be possible to choose how I reacted.

I'm thankful for my struggle because without it I wouldn't have found my strength. Good always comes out of bad, just ride the storm and I have no doubt that you will grow from your struggles.
Peace and love to you and yours.
Day 5 of my quote week, this is my 4th quote of the week. Yesterday I was so busy with my day-to-day life I didn't get round to posting a quote, but all is not lost... Here's my offering for day 5!
If you start something don't beat yourself up if it doesn't go as planned, I wanted to do a quote a day this week but it didn't turn out as I planned, but that doesn't mean I'm going to give up. It's only a small thing but it was important to me, I hope it makes you think about your goals, don't give up because one thing got in the way. What does it really matter, pick yourself up and get on with it. Peace and love to you and yours.
It's very easy to stay "in the mind", plodding along day to day constantly thinking thoughts of days gone by and planning what's going to happen next. We often forget that life is happening right now before our very eyes and continue on in a trance like state, trapped in our thoughts instead of really opening our eyes to see the beauty life has on offer.
As Eckhart Tolle mentions in the book the "Power of Now" there's a time for planning but life is Now. I have a lovely little heart sign that's says: "The happiest moment of the happiest life is now"
I have it on the kitchen side at home, every time I see it, it grounds me to the moment and reminds me to live in the now. I love it! Being a busy mum and business woman I'm constantly planning, but I've found that giving my mind a chance to rest in this way has enabled me to think more clearly when it comes to organising and planning.
Peace and love to you and yours. If it doesn't challenge you, it won't change you.
Challenges are good they help us grow and develop personally, people ask for their lives to change or complain about how miserable they are with their current circumstances then face challenges and change with the same energy.
What I have learnt is that through every challenge I have faced; good (or the ones that hurt) I have always grown personally and that it changed me, which enabled me to deal with things that little bit better in the long run. "Go about doing good, until there's too much good in the world" Watching a reality TV programme one day, I heard a chap say this quote to his daughter. I thought it was beautiful, I wrote it on a scrap of paper and it has been stuck on my notice board ever since. Find a place to pin quotes that you love, maybe on a notice board like me, or use an app like Pintrest or share them on Instagram, where you can look back for inspiration. After a small amount of research (OK a Google Search), I believe its an inspirational quote by Larry H. Miller about the value of Making A Difference Peace and love to you and yours.
